5 Interior Design Trends to Avoid in 2023

5 Interior Design Trends to Avoid in 2023
We may be less than 2 weeks into the New Year but word on the street is these design trends are on their way OUT.
But before we get into the nitty gritty, listen up: if you see anything on this list that you love, ignore it! Design is personal, so you do you!
Here’s what to consider kissing goodbye this year when it comes to interior design according to Forbes contributor Amanda Lauren:
1. Open Concept Floor Plans
This trend had its moment in the sun for a long time, but expect to see more closed floor plans in the future.
2. Light-toned Wood
Look for mixed and darker wood in 2023.
3. White and Gray Interior Paint
These very popular paint colors have been used for years to make spaces feel more open and light, but expect to see more creamy neutrals moving forward.
4. Fast Furniture
While affordable, fast furniture doesn’t last. Consider investing in a few quality pieces instead of a ton of cheaper options.
5. Rattan
Speaking of furniture, Rattan has had its moment to shine, but don’t expect this trend to continue.
Again, design is personal and may not apply to your and your personal tastes. If any of these are design choices that you love, rock them and make them your own. Happy designing!!
